When I was President of the URI Snowboarding and Ski Club, I decided to broaden our international horizon, past the limits of our regular trips into Northern New England and venture across the ocean to go to Europe for spring break. There we spent time in Leysin, Switzerland then headed over to TIgnes, France for the X-Games. Our Leysin portion of the trip was put together with the help of Brian Zahm of Swiss Doc Tours (http://swissdoctours.com/). With temperatures in the 60's, the spring conditions up in the Alps were some of the best I've got to experience. The beautiful train rides through the historic vineyards along beautiful sky blue lakes and story book towns, the scenery was up to par with the snowboarding.
